Zamfara State government has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with Stetis Nigeria LTD with a view to establishing State Geographical Information System(ZAGIS).
Speaking during the occasion, the Commissioner for Lands, Survey, Housing and Town Planning, Alhaji Ahmad Sharu Anka said the project is aimed at computerizing land administration system in the state so as to improve the state’s revenue generation.
Alhaji Sharu, who is also chairman of the committee, explained that ZAGIS would create a good source of revenue through issuance of Certificates of Occupancy, letters of grants, titled deed, searching re-certification and all other related transactions for improved revenue generation in the state.
In his remark, the Managing Director of Stetis, Muhammed Al-Amin, promised to work according to the contractual agreement to quickly achieve the overall goal of the project.
