Paint Manufacturers Association-an umbrella body for paints manufacturing in Nigeria will hold its coating show, 2015 on 16th October, 2015 in Lagos
According to PMA Chairman, Mr. Rotimi Aluko, the theme for this year’s event is “Enhancing Coatings Quality for the Future”, adding that one of the objectives of the Association is to ensure that quality paint products are produced and sold to users so that they get value for their money, hence the choice of the theme, It is intended to showcase the various raw materials, machinery, production and testing equipment, packaging materials used in the production of paints, inks and allied products and of course paints products.
He said, the show will attract exhibitors from different parts of the world including the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, South Africa, India, Korea, Middle East, China, Turkey, Singapore and Nigeria.
The executive secretary of PMA Mr. Jude Maduka added that the event will be open to all manufacturers of paints, inks and allied products, architects, builders, real estate developers, chemical vendors/dealers, painters/applicators, students who wish to take up careers in the paint industry and the general public.
He said: “The essence of the program is to use it as a platform where stakeholders would be properly sensitized on the nitty-gritty of paint and allied products.
He also expressed confidence on the Nigerian manufacturers that despite the ECOWAS tariff that allows products from member country to come to Nigeria.
The Guest Speaker will be the Director General/Chief Executive of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON). Dr. Joseph Ikem Odumodu, who will deliver a paper on the theme on the first day, while other speakers will speak on various issues on paint, raw materials and technology.
