The forthcoming 11th Abuja Housing Show promises to showcase latest trends in the mortgage and home interior sector, says the convener.

Mr Festus Adebayo, the Chief Executive Officer of FESADEB Communications Limited, the convener of the show disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Monday.

He said that local manufacturers across the country would be the focus of the exhibitions in order to promote local products which would make housing more affordable. According to him “we are partnering with leading home interiors companies such as AFP furniture, Alpha Plus, Window Story, Flexi Clay and Gold Interiors among others.

The show which has its Theme as `Solving Nigeria Housing Challenge through Innovative Financing and Infrastructure Solution’ would be declared open by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo.

Adebayo said that the show would also feature Governors from Lagos state, yobe, Edo, Sokoto, Anambra state among others.

“Abuja housing show will focus on innovation; as you know all over the world people are talking about innovation.

“Finance and infrastructure are critical for successful housing penetration; those that have pushed the boundaries for successful housing delivery have combined the elements of finance and infrastructure with innovative solution.

“We will be looking at how innovation in housing finance through private equity can solve Nigeria housing supply’’.

Adebayo said that in Nigeria there was no adequate data on housing deficit, adding that the show would feature the Statistician General of the Federation to brief the people on the issue of housing deficit.
